This is a quick note to thank The Dog Lodge for having my German Shepherd "Sky" to stay.
I was really worried as my usual kennels were full and couldn't take Sky. I visited a few kennels and felt anxious about them all and then i heard about The Dog Lodge. As soon as i arrived it felt friendly, not too big, and the dogs looked happy. The staff were friendly and camed and made a fuss of Sky before she got out of the car. They had made a nice bed for Sky and i also put her own bedding and toys on.
When i collected Sky she seemedvery happy, had bonded with staff, and was relaxed.
Thankyou for your kindness at The Dog Lodge!
Thanks very much for looking after Sooty my little Spanish rescue dog so well, he came back very relaxed and happy. Being a rescue dog he can be very nervous and highly strung,it is good to know that I have somewhere to leave him where he enjoys going. Thanks again.
Regards, Josie Young
Collected my slightly skitty dog Mollie at the end of the snowy period(27th December) who immediatedly settled down in the car and fell asleep and fell back into our family routine without any problem.
Can't say she enjoyed her stay but I know that she is being well looked after in good surrounding by caring staff. Amy in particular was very kind and most helpful.
I am sending a separate list of forward bookings for 2011 as a vote of confidence.
Regards and Happy New Year, david Rodd
Our boys - Max & Alfie - are young, big and boisterous. The name of the game for them is to have fun at all times and to be fed treats in between.. They've had a very bad experience with kennels before we moved to Devon and so we were highly nervous when needing to find a place for them again. I can honestly say I couldn't have found any better than the Dog Lodge if I'd searched every kennels for a year!
The boys have stayed a few times now and love it, Max gets himself under the duvet to create his heated vapour bubble with the aid of the underbed heating with Alfie using him as a prop on top.
They need vast amounts of exercise but with firm control, which thank goodness they get loads of - apparently this last visit in the snow they used each other as snow sledges as they played!!!
Thanks Cathy and your team for all you do when we can't take them with us.

Molly and Sadie are always well looked after by Cathy and her team. Sadie is always first out of the car when we get to the Dog Lodge, she thinks it is her own holiday home and knows exactly where she want to go(the paddock to play.
I could'nt think of leaving them anywhere else.

My name is Toby, I'm a 14 year old Yorkie, with a cheeky attitude. I look and act as though I am 14 months old!! I stayed at The Dog Lodge for the first time September 2009, and was spoiled rotten - or so my Mum and Dad say! I enjoyed every minute of my stay, and was disappointed to get back home and find I didn't have a heated bed.
I'm going on holiday again to The Dog Lodge next month, and can hardly wait to get there for my week's pampering.
